Russell Huxhold, Owner, Operator of HuxHemp CBD Apothecary
Russell Huxhold is the owner and operator of HuxHemp CBD Apothecary located in Lakeview (3101 N. Lincoln Ave Chicago, IL). HuxHemp opened in July 2018 as he followed the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018 moving through the House and Senate. Russell understands that the true medicinal value of cannabis is the different cannabinoid and terpene levels, so he set out to find the best 100% USA-grown hemp products (by COA standards) at the lowest prices. HuxHemp opened to not only offer these very effective and affordable products but to also educate customers about cannabinoids and the ECS. HuxHemp is honored to have a wonderful and extremely knowledgeable staff that has garnered a 5-star Google rating (60) for their customer service and product recommendations.
Russell believes all cannabis is for medicinal purposes (mental and physical) and therefore focuses on customer feedback, his own use and staff use for product offerings (after carefully examining 3rd party lab reports - COAs). If the product is approved, will help customers improve their health and is priced fairly, HuxHemp considers offering for sale. Russell's motivation for opening HuxHemp ignited when he noticed inferior CBD isolate products being sold at many c-store locations - he didn’t want people’s first CBD experience to be ineffective (full spectrum products are his focus).
Russell holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS in Economics from the University of Wisconsin so he brings a focused business acumen to the cannabis industry. Russell’s past career was in start-up operations and sales, equity option trading and mortgage banking.
